Introduction and Role of Financial Aid
Welcome to the Financial Aid Office at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). Our mission is to support students and their families throughout the financial aid process, from the initial application to graduation. We are here to help you understand and secure the financial resources necessary to achieve your educational goals.
Our Role:
- Assistance with the Financial Aid Process: We guide students and families through each step of applying for financial aid, ensuring that all necessary forms and documents are completed accurately and on time.
- Determination of Financial Aid Amounts: The amount and types of financial aid awarded to students are determined based on Federal, State, and Institutional guidelines. Most Federal and State financial aid programs are need-based, ensuring that those who require financial assistance the most are given priority.
- Annual FAFSA Filing: To be considered for most financial aid programs, students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. This application is crucial for accessing Federal and State financial aid. FAFSA School code: 002061
Students not eligible for grants should contact the Student Accounting Office to discuss other options to pay tuition and fees. The Student Accounting Office is on Liberty Campus, Main Building, Room 51, and the office number is 410-462-8333.
Our dedicated team is here to answer your questions, provide information on available financial aid options, and assist you in maximizing your financial aid opportunities. Please feel free to reach out to us for any assistance you may need.
