Program Description
Pursue your dream and study music at Baltimore City Community College, whether you are a community member looking to enrich your life by taking a course in music or a full-time student with the goal of transferring to a university to complete a bachelor’s degree.
Studies include: Composition, Conducting, Ear Training, Music History, Music Theory, Piano, Performances, Private Lessons, and Sight Singing.
With an associate degree in music, you are able to secure a career position based upon your specialty area in the industry as a business music manager, educational music coach, performer, production manager, song writer, or a sound engineer technician.

Every degree-seeking student must complete the College’s General Education Requirements in addition to the academic program requirements.Through the College’s General Education Requirements, students acquire basic knowledge of the disciplines in the areas of arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, English composition, and computer literacy.
