Disability Support Services Center (DSSC) is dedicated to helping students with documented disabilities access all of the educational opportunities and services offered by the College.
DSSC helps registered students with a disability assess their academic progress, learn strategies for successfully navigating the rigors of college, and discovering learning strengths and weaknesses.
DSSC knows from experience that having a disability does not necessarily preclude a person from following their dreams; in fact, a disability can be a positive factor for some. Many students with a disability are successful at BCCC with physical, learning, or psychological disabilities.
DSSC provides consultative assistance, training, and technical assistance to the campus community on issues related to various disabilities, including awareness and best practices. Ensures compliance with federal regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended (ADAAA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973).
