Arts and Sciences Transfer, AA, Science Area of Concentration

The Associate of Science degree with Science Concentration prepares students to transfer into bachelor degree programs in science in a four-year college or university. This degree is the first step toward readiness to pursue high demand careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The bachelor’s degree in science prepares students for a variety of careers in industry, government, health care, and educational institutions.

Every degree-seeking student must complete the College’s General Education Requirements in addition to the requirements of his/her academic program. Through the College’s General Education Requirements, students acquire basic knowledge of the disciplines in the areas of arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, English composition, and computer literacy.
