    Program Description 

    The Arts and Science Transfer-Art (area of concentration) inspires, develops, and transforms each emerging artist’s intellectual and creative attributes which allows for optimal expression and exploration of artistic genres, techniques, art history, and literature. 

    Following admission, the student progresses at his/her own pace through the foundation selected courses designed for advanced study leading to a bachelor’s degree. Each student is fully assisted in the process of transferring to a four-year college or university.

    With assistance from the Program Coordinator and the College’s transfer counselors, students may either transfer to continue their academic training or follow a more direct career path into the Visual Arts.

    Students can explore a variety of careers within the creative arts, including sculptor, illustrator, painter and many more. Earning potential in these professions can vary greatly depending on the individual’s level of experience and exposure.

Suggested Sequence Of Courses

  • Every degree-seeking student must complete the College’s General Education Requirements in addition to the academic program requirements.Through the College’s General Education Requirements, students acquire basic knowledge of the disciplines in the areas of arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, English composition, and computer literacy.
