Message of Congratulations on the Inauguration of Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President and Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States
Today, our nation, and the world, celebrate the inauguration of Joseph R. Biden, Jr., as the 46th president of the United States and Kamala D. Harris, the 49th vice president. President Biden today will sign new executive orders on climate, race, the pandemic and the economy. This day marks our history as we pause to acknowledge Kamala Harris as the first woman of African American and East Asian decent become vice president of the United States. Today, changing the balance of power, she will swear in three new Senators to take office. By her election win and inauguration, Ms. Harris has shattered the proverbial glass ceiling for all women throughout the world. We will remember this day!
It is a heartfelt privilege to acknowledge this great American democracy, this historic moment and our move forward as one great nation!
Debra L. McCurdy
