BCCC Bookstore Announcement

  • BCCC is excited to announce a partnership with Barnes & Noble College (BNC) to transition BCCC bookstore operations to BNC. They will manage textbook services, course materials, spirit gear, and other merchandise. The key benefits of our partnership include affordable course materials, enhanced access for students, support for faculty teaching resources, and campus engagement. This will provide students and faculty with the broadest range of low-cost course materials. This change reflects the College’s ongoing dedication to keep students first.

The transition of the Bookstore to BNC will take place in four phases:

Phase I: The current Bookstore will be closed April 10 - 20, 2025. With a short transition timeline, the Bookstore will reopen on April 21 under BNC management with modest visual changes.

Phase II: For Summer 2025, students will continue to order and pick up summer course materials in a similar manner in which BCCC operated. Students will access a refreshed BCCC web page for online ordering through the BNC website. BNC will oversee textbook and educational resource delivery (mail and pick-up).

Phase III: Beginning Fall 2025, students will resume the cost of textbooks; however, during Summer 2025, the College will cover the cost for textbooks.

Phase IV: To create a more inviting and customer-centric atmosphere that reflects BCCC’s unique campus culture, significant bookstore renovations will culminate during the Fall 2025 semester. The new BCCC bookstore will advance our brand and raise the level of customer service.

It’s still our bookstore; it’s just going to be operated by BNC.
